    I have drafted two possible notes, quite similar but which do you think sounds best / would you respond to?

    ~~~~~~~~~
    We are looking to buy a house in xxxxxxxx and particularly in your road. If you are considering selling your house within the next few months, we would be really interested to hear from you. We are local to the area but want to move near to family in the village and think your house could be just what we are looking for.
    Thank you for your time.
    Kind regards
    or
    Also, I have assumed I should refer to it as a house, but I would I be better using home?
    Thanks
    either is fine, don't forget to include a mobile number, we had initial contact with our buyers via text.
    Im wondering if people really hate EA's that much (and thier fees), why there isnt a website that you can list your house for sale on for free (or £20 or so). You take all the pics and give a description and sit back and wait for the phone to ring?
    Is there such a thing... $$$$?
  • I'm thinking of doing similar, but asking about rented houses, not houses to buy. Several houses in my road have been recently sold and then appeared up to let, going within a few days and I missed out
    possibly best to contact the estate agent once the sold sign goes up, they should know the new owners plans and i imagine it would smooth the sale knowing they have a prospective tenant waiting for thier new btl
