You should definitely visit lands end, it's free to go in, just pay for parking and any attraction you may want to go into. I would just walk along the cliffs, visit the animals etc and not bother paying to see the Dr Who thingy etc. Never worth it in my opinion.
Last year we went to Land's End one evening and found we still had to pay to park. We'd previously parked for nothing and enjoyed a walk along the cliffs to watch the sunset. I can't remember how much it was, but thought it was expensive to just park when there was nothing open.
Re Jamaica Inn - great for a stretch-your-legs stop and a wander round but I have tried the food there before and thought it was awful and expensive. Tripadvisor reviews have always been quite dodgy too. It's a shame because it could be a little gem.0 -

Yeah I am sure you pay to park no matter what time it is! It is a shame, especially when all you want to do is take a stroll along the cliff paths.
We went to the Jamaica Inn recently and the food was lovely, it can be hit and miss and find it to be at it's worse during the peak season. We love going there to warm up after taking the dogs for a walk around Siblyback Lake.0 -
we went to cornwall last year from Barnsley and stayed overnight at a Travelodge in Bristol (Cribbs Causeway). There is a big shopping centre and a massive leisure park there, with a cinema and lots of different restaurants, its straight off the motorway as well. I would recommend the Carvey Company, the food was lovely and not too expensive. When we came home, we parked in the cinema car park and used their toilets, no-one was any the wiser really
PS I would also recommend going to the Minack Theatre, its cut out of the cliffs overlooking the sea. We saw Hamlet there last year and it was spectacular, it does get very VERY cold after the sun has gone down though so take a couple of blankets! It cost us £7 to see it and it was really worth it.You're so very special, I wish I was special :dance:0
