    Hi all.

Blokey has been and serviced the boiler, so that's out of the way for another year.:T

All kitchen surfaces have been Dettoxed to within an inch of their lives, including under the micro, as Mr LW had to move it for blokey to access the boiler.;)

I've done the hob thoroughly, but the main oven has barely been used, so doesn't need doing; and we don't have an extractor.

The hoover's also been done - Mr LW takes it apart and gives it a good clean every Saturday, after he's hoovered the bungalow.:A

Mr LW is, of course, wfh today - off into town this afternoon, when he finishes, to bank the cheque for £100 I won on one of the survey sites I visit.:T That money is going straight in the New Hearing Aid Fund!:D

Helensdatter ouchy - poor DH. I hope it's not too awful an injury, and that he heals quickly.

Dusty in view of the news re Ed, I'm putting him onto my list of long-term people to do healing vibes for. Gosh, 2 years, possibly - his poor family!:(
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

I always thought that the point of an aga was no cleaning... if you leave the shelves in there, the dirt will burn off :D

Having had our AGA for 11 years that is not actually true:p More burns off than in a regular cooker and there are not sides etc to clean but the shelves and inside the door/door rim benefit from an annual clean IMHO.

Lamewolf - well done for doing so much

DS3 not enjoying school so tried to not go back after physio, but he is back. Lunch for me and then a cuppa and a bit more in the kitchen.

I don't think my mother has ever cleaned hers :o although she cleans the outside and the rings after she uses them. The shelves probably haven't been cleaned since it was installed in 1930...

  • Easy Peasy Homemade Polish

This was on superscrimpers, so im sure most people will have seen it, but thought it was worth a mention as my wooden furniture came up sparkling - I will NEVER use bought polish again.

3 tablespoons of oil, i just used cooking (make sure its not been cooked with)
    1 tablespoon of lemon
Loads of essential oil, i used lemon

Mix together, put your cloth in and polish. I used a cheapie yellow duster, and its still got loads of polish on it, so have not had to make any more polish, just use the duster. The only thing i would say is it took a while to sink into my dining table & chairs, so i would do maybe before bed. My coffee table is still shiny like i have never seen before and that is from last wednesday.

I've decluttered a tooth - was that on the list? Just sitting in bed now - kids are at my mum's and she's dropping them back off at 6 so I've got a couple of hours to relax.

JulieJim hugs and hope it's not too sore.

All done bar finishing the AGA shelves which I'll do in a minute. Now to think of what to inflict upon you all tomorrow.
