Primus Saver ISP, ever heard of them?

Hi,

We are moving house which is new build with no line installed. We are with VM atm and they are going to charge us £7 more a month for a much slower connection (new property doesn't have cable) so i'm using the new price increase to cancel our contract with them.

I've been looking around and was going to go with Orange broadband as they are offering £5 a month for orange customers and £40 sainsburys voucher + £30 M&S voucher for the new line instillation. But i saw the majority of the reviews on the net are really bad.

I have just stumbled upon Primus Saver - http://www.primussaver.co.uk/Index.aspx

They are offering free line instillation and the monthly cost of £21ish a month, thing if i've never heard of them and cannot find any reviews about them apart from being mentioned on Uswitch etc. So has anyone heard of them or recommend them?

There are hundreds of posts on this board about Primus, just do a forum search.
Their CS is, in the opinion of many, near to non-existent.
What are your LLU options? Do an exchange search on www.samknows.com to find out.

Try to get them by phone and you can wait for ages for them to answer - contact them by email and you usually get a reply within the hour.

Usually good cashback for Primus. 12 month contract, we pay just over £13 a month for their 20GB package (in line rental). Went with them due to the free line reactivation. £46 cashback so works out at less than a tenner a month. (No call package on the phone)

I think the unlimited download is a bout £5 a month more and if you stream videos you need it.

Joined Primussavers back in November 2011 : biggest mistake I've made in my life. Would take a lot more than £20 to recommend them.
Beware of their misleading infos : if you don't pay by Direct Debit it is not £1.80 extra/month but £3.60 as they will charge for paperbill whether you want it or nor.

As a matter of interest, WDYW, which email address are you using to get a reply within one hour ?

Thanks to WDYW for confirming Primus email adress. Must be luckier than me for receiving replies within one hour : I'm still waiting for mine over 2 months ago ! Oh, something else : don't bother writing a letter of complaints to their Customer Management in London (as told to do so in their Code of Practice). According to their own staff, they will not reply !!! Must be a real pleasure working for Primus. You can't help but feel sorry for their customer service agents on the other end of the phone ....Can't wait for the contract to end in order to switch to another phone/ISP.

Anyway, to end the whinging and answer Nicklt : DON'T DO IT !
