Okay, do you have windows 7?
The reason I ask is when I have a problem of nothing happening after clicking install, it's because it needs admin rights.

So go to my computer, right click on the dvd drive, and (this is from memory as I don't have a drive installed currently) go for explore (of if there is an option, to run as administrator). If the run as admi isn't there, do explore, find the "start.exe" (may be named similar, or install.exe etc) and right click on that, and either select run as administrator, or select properties on it, and choose the tab that says run as admin as one of the options.

Sorry not detailed, because of lack of drive myself, and not knowing what files they are.

If that doesn't work, it could be the firewall blocking it. Either way, what windows are you running?

goto "computer", then double click on your DVD drive, should open up the content list - search for setup.exe, or similar and follow Lifeforms instrcutions.............

found set up and clicked on 'run as admin' and got this reply:

'The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. check your computer system information to see whether you need an x86(32bit) or x64(64bit) version of the program'

    (my laptop is a 64bit)

    any ideas???????

Not all versions of Photoshop are compatible with Win 7 see here http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?l=en&type=Software&s=photoshop

If as I suspect you are running Win 7 home premium then you may have an issue - the previous link may resolve it for you.

However you you post back the version of win7 and which bit type, and the version of photoshop you have 2-8, elements or the full CS etc - might be able to advise the best way to resolve the issue.

    Yup, you have several options:

    1. Try win 7 compatibility mode - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-vista/Make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

    2. Upgrade to Win 7 Pro and use XP Mode.

    3. You could upgrade to Photoshop Elements but has a rather interface to photodelux - the latter was developed for win 95/98 so is pretty antique - much the same functionality is available for free from Picasa - ie simple croping and changing colour/contrast/saturation etc = we like it. Costs nothing to try - http://picasa.google.com/

    4. Get a new camera !!
