Burnglo

I see alot of people on here burn burnglo in there stoves which if im not mistaken is standard anthracite. Does anyone else find that it splits and sometimes jumps like at the glass?

I would use esse too, i find if i put this on when the fire is going well it will keep it going for ages ( I put it on last night at 10pm and I cam down this morning at 7am and the fire was still red. I have a tendency to burn standard anthracite and phaunicite (sp) together as one is alot chaper than the other
  • I just use household coal. Illegally. Not a single solitary crap is given.:money:

Yeah I use phurnacite mostly but only cos it's easier lit. For me that's £16 a bag and the esse is £17

    Yes 50kg

He's not the cheapest but I've never had a bad sack from him. He delivers all winter no matter the weather so I'm happy enough with what I pay. I can get cheaper but time I borrow a trailer,do a 20 mile round trip and break my back and nails in the process it's not worth the saving

What constitutes a bad sack? Alot of dust? I would have about 3 cup fulls of dust at the bottom but I assume this is normal?

Sounds right. For me a bad sack is when there's inferior stuff which doesn't burn as well. Where I work till we got this coal merchant we were often palmed off with what crap and charged premium price
