HELP! Our desktop PC has just bluescreened. It will now only restart in Safe Mode and even then, there are vertical lines all over the display.

Details of the BSOD are as follows:

Have taken the cover off the case. Got rid of what dust was there (not much).

Have used the Uniblue DriverScanner to see if it might be anything to do with outdated drivers, etc.

But - it's only come up with: Sitecom Wireless N Network USB Card WL-182, Realtek High Definition Audio and USB Mass Storage Device as needing to be updated.

It's an error relating to the video card/driver. You could try updating that, but problems in safe mode too don't bode well.

In the start search box type devmgmt.msc

In device manager, look at Display adapters (click the +). What does it say?

It says that Status is not available for this device when Windows is running in Safe Mode.

Presumably this explains why when I looked on the nvidia.co.uk website it didn't detail what driver is installed when I scanned my system (see below).

    Product: NVIDIA GeForce 7500 LE
    Current Installed Driver: --
Latest Driver Update: GeForce 295.73 Driver, Version 295.73 WHQL, Release Date 21.2.2012.

Any point in me downloading it?!?

The driver isn't loaded in safe mode. Does device manager actually list the version no.for the installed driver? Right click it and choose properties, click the driver tab.
