My husband "lost" £11,735 on a game show once. And the woman who won it didn't even answer any questions correctly! But we had a good time, he got his face on the telly for 15 mins (not a lifetime ambition but quite fun at the time) and if we ever argue about me spending money on handbags, I can throw it back in his face!

  • Maybe, but he appears to provide what the TV producers want and he recently bought a £2 million house and earnt around £3 million last year alone.

    Not bad for a "twonk"!

Money can buy you a house and things but it still makes him a prat ;)

No 'effectively' about it, arcon. It's absolutely a game of luck.

And how dare you be rude about Sunday telly?? What about Countryfile?!

The worst ones are the ones who deal at ~£10k and then start crying because they had £50k in their box...
You've just won £10k you muppet, why are you crying because of what could have been?

They only seem to pick a "certain type of person" for that show (drama kings and queens who'll make "good TV" - or so they think!).

Erm excuse me! Please don't tar us all with the same brush.

I'm just an ordinary person with no 'good tv' stories and I thoroughly enjoyed myself during my time there.

Yes you do get emotional in a situation where you know people for a very short space of time, BUT I can assure you it's not fixed, no one knows where the money is and I personally was very pleased and fortunate to deal at the top of my game!:T

No, it was years before that.

"Last Chance Lottery", with Patrick Kielty. We all had a lottery ticket under our seat and anyone who matched 3 numbers with the draw had the chance to go on stage and play. My ticket won but I didn't want to be on camera so hubby had a go instead. When we got home, the answerphone was full of messages saying "Did we just see you on the telly?" :rotfl:
I've still got it on video!

Come on people, It is the Noel Edmonds show really, without the emotional outbursts which are producer engineered, it really is a nothing program but we viewers have a choice we can switch channels and watch some other crap and there is an awfull lot of it on tv.
