BE Broadband

Hi,

I think this forum helped me out last year, so decided to revisit. Thank you!

We joined BE for broadband 2 years ago. Last year, they were increasing the charges, and thankfully due to the advice of MSE members, we got them to agree to give us half price broadband for 6 months, which worked out just over £7/month for 6 months and then £14/month for the remaining 6 months.

The 12 month contract is due to expire at the end of March. We are debating what to do. Does anyone know how much more they are going to increase the charges? The value package on their website is currently £17/month.

If it makes a difference we are with the post office for our landline, which works really well for us because of the free international calls.

Does anyone have any advice, tips or recommendations?

Thanks in advance for all your help and advice.

Which if any LLU operators are available at your telephone exchange? Check using samknows.

Stay with your current provider as there are no cheaper options that will give you the same quality of service and value for money. You seem to assume that your charges will increase to the currently displayed website prices.

What usually happens with BE (as in, what happened to me) is that when the contract period ends you continue on a rolling one month contract paying your normal charge. They don't apply the new pricing to existing customers.

(Like I say, that has been my experience).

As above. Your contract does not 'expire', it just becomes a 30 day rolling contract, on the same terms as you are currently on.
