Hi,
We want to switch telephone and broadband providers, but would like to choose an email address that the family can use and keep forever, so that when we change phone and / or broadband companies again, we don't have to keep changing our email address.
I'm a bit overwhelmed by the google search options, and wondered if anyone could suggest a reliable provider for our unique future email address, that doesn't cost the earth and is easy to use with Windows Mail?
Thanks for any help you can offer

You dont have to always go with your internet providers email system like 'Sky mail and Virgin mail'
Have you considered one of the most popular email services like 'Gmail' yet? its googles mail and can easily be accessed on any internet provider and its very easy to use and get your head around it.
https://mail.google.com/
There is also plain old 'Hotmail and Live mail' email accounts available, again easy to access and works with windows mail.
https://www.hotmail.com
If its an actual Internet provider your looking for then theres so many to pick again, its all down to the buyers specific choice in package, size, download speed, price etc etc.
Sorry if i didnt answer your question or help.Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.0 -
The sensible thing to do is to buy your own domain name, E.g. "Mark312.co.uk" or whatever.
Then you can assign individual Email addresses to that, E.g. "mark@Mark312.co.uk", "uncle_bob@Mark312.co.uk" etc. etc.
There are many providers, I bought mine from http://order.1and1.co.uk
It costs £3 / year (depends if you want a .com or a .co.uk or a .me.uk) for the domain an then I pay £8.30 for the Email service that lets me register 5 email accounts.
Once you've got the domain name, you can move it to another Email provider if you don't get on with 1&1. You can easily hook up Outlook or Thunderbird to the accounts or use their Webmail service.

have done above with 123reg and pointed email to xxx@gmail.com , so if I change isp still have email ,also with 123reg you can make up quite a few email domains pointing to gmail ,so if heavy load of spam continues on 1 address just cancel and no more spam for that one , I only use 2 email domains for family and have no spam for them at all ,just ones for web offers.0

The quick and simple option is to sign up for a Gmail account (5 minutes). It can be used as webmail service, or set up to download into any desktop email client you prefer, including Windows Mail, Thunderbird, etc.
It's completely free.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Google Evohosting - a UK based host that do all sorts of hosting packages, their home package is £6.49 a month - includes a domain for life and up to 50 eMail addresses and includes webspace plus eMail access by mobile phone or web!
It may be more than you were looking for but you can run Wordpress on their hosting so your family can keep a blog if they wish (amongst other things) and they accept monthly payment by PayPal. I found Evo by accident a few years back and they're so helpful it's untrue!0
