TCP parking fine

I recently overstayed the parking time in Asda Arnold Nottingham.
I have received a letter from TCP with a £60 fine or £30 if paid within
28 days. ( They use number plate rec. cameras )
There is a threat of possible court action if ignored.
Is this LEGAL and should I pay or ignore ???

And it's not a FINE, it's an unenforceable invoice.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Please use normal fonts and colour, gave me a headache reading that
And ignore the scammers, they will send you junk mail a 4 or 5 times, then it will stop as they look for another victim to scam money out of.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Wow that red is an offensive colour, both in footballing terms and on here!
Anyway, as long as you are not a ManUtd (or Cr***a* Palace) fan, don't even think about paying this scam charge!
Read the top thread here for pictures of the letters to expect and ignore:

Also on that clip you will see a solicitor on Watchdog explain what to do. It's easy to ignore this sca, I have done so once and kept the letters to show others all about it. Nothing happens, they can't send the boys round or just applt for a CCJ or affect your credit rating in any way.
Think of ignoring the letters as similar to deleting phishing emails - same sort of scam only by mail.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

a complicated scam that impersonates authority backed up with threats.
Most fall for it.
IGNORE 100%
They will go away eventually.
Beware their impersonation changes characters to debt collectors, solicitors and Snow white and the seven dwarfs if it will help them scam your money.
My Advice is to get all the shopping take it back and demand a full refund and explain to them this is what happens when you try to scam money out of people shopping in your store.
Dont take any waffle about it not been their fault, yes it is their fault, it's their car park.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Simple instructions:
1. Do not pay.
2. Ignore all correspondence
3. Shop somewhere else in future.
It's as easy as 1-2-3, Jacqueline!0 -
I fine you the same amount for using such a horrible font size and colour!
And I have exactly the same "right" to fine you and demand payment as those scammers do.0 -
and dont forget that your under house arrest, must surrender your passport in case you abscond abroad and beat yourself with a whip three times daily0

Oh my god, you over-stayed your welcome at Asda, a crime punishable by being sent lots of threatening letters demanding even more silly sums of money, where the chance it going to court is the same as Man City being relegated this year.
Ignore TCP, and if you can ignore that Asda, and tell your friends, family & work colleagues to do the same.0 -
my wife works in the nhs hospital in larbert and was giving a parking ticket even though she works there it was for £30 if paid straight away or it would rise to £60 we have now recieved a letterfor the £60 does she have to pay this fine.0
