Good price if you want this item. You do need some other bits if your a beginner like Bottles, hydrometer etc. The review on the other link is very helpful about how to tweak the wine.
NEW WINE CHOICES in POSTS 30 and 31. Reduced Kit too.

Reserve du Chateau Wine Kit European Cabernet Sauvignon (Makes 30 x 750 ml Bottles) £15.66.

The first review on this pack is very helpful and gives good tips about how to tweak the wine.0 -
Thank you that's a brilliant price, ordered both, 60 bottles of wine for just under £30! My wine making hubby will love this. Once you got the kit it's a great hobby and we had a huge cheese and wine party for our friends recently which was brilliant, cheap and different!

Thanks, been looking to start a cheap hobby, and this should be fun!0

Where is the cheapest place for demijohns please? I've looked on ebay and gumtree, will try freecycle but other than those i'm not sure what a good price is.
Any expert advice?

So what else do you need to purchase to make these wines ?0

Wilkinson's sell glass demijohns for £7 and do a fermenting barrel for £13 and that's what we use for the 30 bottle kits. We got some demijohn's from ebay cheap and keep an eye on charity shops too. There are some plastic type demijohns but we've not tried them. My husband is really into this lately even buying really cheap parsnips at Christmas for parsnip wine and he can't wait for spring and summer when we can do rhubarb and other fruit wines from free fruit

I took this bit from a review on amazon:
If you are completetly new to winemaking bear in mind you will need to buy a fermenter and airlock (£16) Hydrometer (£4) and siphon (£2) as well as sterilising powder (£2)
Plus you need a demijohn (info given by summersnearlyhere above) and a corker to put the corks in. Thats what i've summised not sure if i've missed anything.
I really would love to do this though and have thought about making rasberry vodka, damson gin etc last summer. Great for pressie's.0 -

Thats great info as i found a hydrometer for £4 at Wilkies too.
Corkers are about £10 ish.0 -
Two air locks and 2 bungs are £3 at Wilkinson's and they do supply most of the stuff you need. It can be a bit of an expense to start with but we asked for things for DH as pressies for his birthday and again at Christmas. I got him a couple of books one is called "Booze for Free" and he's going to try all sorts this year, Sloe Gin is one he fancies (and we don't drink Gin?)! The kits are really good and the wines nice and at 50p a bottle with the two kits above you can't grumble! Don't buy bottles for bottling just raid your neighbours bottle bins like we do lol!

We make our own wine and spent about £35 on all of the kit when we first started, all of it was from Wilkos. You can sometimes pick up demijohns from carboots. We found some in our loft just before we moved and binned them. We were kicking ourselves when we decided to start making wine!
I'll be buying one of those kits, I'm sure I saw them in the amazon lightning deals but for about £30.0
