Do also remember that MBNA were voratious aquirers, as they snapped up cards from a variety of brands as the 'proper backs' refused to let the branded offering continue, they bought it outright. This was how I ended up with 3 MBNA credit cards, and at no time had I ever joined them. As this is one of the fairly devious operators I wanted nothing to do with them, and as the cards were paid off I closed the accounts, and will continue to do so with any of my cards fall to them.
