I too have Saga insurance for car & house and mostly each year I find I cannot better the premium elsewhere - however, I have just posted on the pet insurance forum the fact that they are not the cheapest when it comes to pet insurance.

if you are insuring you house and/or contents Saga , Rias ETC are very dear. The cheapest by a mile is Age Concern. I've been with them three years now and every renewal date I trawl around all the other insurers and all the "cheap, we'll find you the cheapest" websites and non get anywhere near Age Concern.

It really must depend on what area you live in and what your insurance risks are.I have been with Rias for 2 years and they have been far cheaper than anyone else i tried.However as both hubby and I have our car insurance with Saga,I phoned for a quote last week and they are now cheaper although only by £6 and only for the first year.Rias give you discount for no claims.

I will try age concern ,but does it count for over 50s though?

Age concern also quote for "car drivers aged 50 and over". They have no upper age limit for acceptance.
