New Mini C alloy nuts?
                    Hi guys,
Probably not a common question, but I've noticed my Mini Cooper 2002 Auto alloy "nuts" (I think that's what they're called) getting quite dirty and rusty..
This isn't a picture of my wheel, but circled, are the "nuts" I'm referring to:

Wondering how much it might cost to get new ones? I have the unlock key in my boot..
Thanks,
Z

They are about £5-£10 for the locking nuts depending on where you buy them from. Ebay might be a good start.
If you wanted to replace all the others as well then it depends on where you get them from again. Probably another £10-£15 or so.
Avoid BMW though unless you like paying through the nose.0

What about fitting them? How much would one expect to pay a local tyre shop for example?0

You can do them yourself with the jack in the boot. They would probably charge you between £10-£20 labour depending on where you go but it really is a simple job anyone can do. If you are unsure you can use the web as there are plenty of guides.0

You can get x20 new nuts for £20 on eBay, although expect them to go the same way after a while (I replaced all of mine last year and they are already starting to corrode)Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0

The mini probably won't have a jack in the bOot unless it has a mobility pack. Just change them one at a time on the ground. Try pricing genuine parts too you may be surprised and better quality0

Rusty wheel nuts are the least of your worries on a mini the gearboxes fall to pieces the layshaft bearing mainly and the clutches also got a tendency to impode at any moment. Plus all the ones ive worked on nothing fits the same as the last one i repaired trouble is people think they are buying a BMW0
