Virgin/moving house

I am moving house at the end of the month. I am currently with Virgin but the account is in the name of my previous flatmate. They were happy to leave it in their name for me when they moved out as Virgin wanted to charge £20 to change the name over to mine!

Anyway my question is, I am aware I will have to set up a new account with them in my name when I move. Can anyone advise on the best package or how to get the best deal? I currently have basic package but my partner would like Sky Sports and I would like Movies so want to look into it to see if it would be worth it. I don't want to pay a fortune more than what I am at the moment. Also a 2nd box for bedroom would be good.

Any advice appreciated.

The other option os to go with sky on a friends & family package? If I did this would I have to pay anything to Virgin to cancel?

Have you been a VM customer longer than 12 months? If so, just give your 30 days notice. If not, use therecent price increase as a reason to leave your contract early, again by giving 30 days cancellation notice.
