On the subject of not getting size 6 trousers past your ankles ... I bought size 6 skinny jeans in Primark at the end of last year, lovely bright green ones, but they wouldn't go over my heels! :rotfl:There must've been something wrong with the cut as they were absolutely tiny at the heel.

I just had to take a pair of their Szie 8 Coral coloured jeans back, I'm pretty much guaranteed to be a size 8 in jeans in most shops, and know the ones I'm not - well these were fine round the waist...but there's skinny and 'likely to stop circulation to the ankle' - I tried on a 10 just to see...bigger round the waist but legs still the same

Glad it's not just me, thought I was going mad!

I will try the Divided section in H&M - my local store only has two rails of the range so will have to go to a bigger store.

I've just ordered a pack of vest tops from New Look, hope they fit (the last lot didn't)
  • I'd also say Primark. I'm a 4-6 on top and all their plain long sleeve stretch Ts, short sleeve stretch Ts and vest tops fit me better than anywhere else and genuinely last. They're also nice and long (I don't like showing my back and stomach off and it's too cold anyway!)

I know you're looking for vests, but you might be interested to know that Primark have started selling many of their main lines in a size 6. Previously it was just a few basics and lingerie, but more and more are starting from a 6 this season.

    It's only a game

Oh I've just thought, Asda do a "teen" range called G21, which starts from a size 4! I haven't actually looked at it closely so don't know exactly what they stock - but there should be a selection of tops available, I'd think!

Miss Selfridge starts at a size 4 these days I think. I've no idea what their fit is like for a size 6 as I'm not that size but it might be worth looking (plain coloured vests are 2 for £12).

Primark is dreadful at sizing. I have a size 10 vest that's far too big and a size 14 that fits perfectly. But at least they're cheap enough to outweigh the time it takes to try things on I suppose.

  • That's a point. I have some size 4 vests from Miss Selfridge which fit well and are nice and long. :)

My daughter is a size 6 and I get her Soul cal vest tops from the republic outlet on ebay (which is down for improvements at the mo). In the shop and online they are £8 each or 2 for £12 but I've been paying £2 each on ebay. Might be worth a look when the site is back up. They are good quality and fit well and not too short.

OP, when I said M&S I didn't mean the normal range, I meant the range which is designed to be a tight fit- as I mentioned its found in the underware department but can be worn as outterwear.
