Can anyone help me with GMail?

I set up a GMail account a couple of weeks ago and added it to Outlook Express and everything is coming through fine.
As I am changing ISPs I will be without internet access for a few days and I may want to check my emails at the library or on my son's computer.
How do I access GMail on the web?
Google is set as my home page but is showing my old email address in the top right hand corner.
If I click on MAIL along the top it takes me to the Welcome to GMail page and says
"You're currently signed in to your "old email address @virgin.net" Google Account.
If you complete this form, you'll be adding Gmail to this account, and your Gmail address will become your primary account username.
If you would prefer, you can create a separate Google Account for Gmail. You'll be logged out of "old email address @virgin.net" and then be able to create your new account".
Well, I don't want to create a new account, I already have one. I just want to be able to access it on the web.
Any help much appreciated as I need to check the spam box at the moment.

You are currently signed in to Google with your Virgin address. The google homepage has the mail, web etc links at the top left and shows the address/user signed in at the top right. If you click on your username there you will get the option to sign out. Click there and then sign back in using your Gmail username and address.
From the library, google for gmail signon or type mail.google.com to reach the page.
