I know it's no help to you now, but I remember them making allowances for pre-booked holidays, if you told them when you made the claim. IDK if it's different now.

It doesn't hurt to ask, if you can prove it was booked before you made the claim.

Then again, if you have internet access on holiday (for job searching) and you are willing to rush back for an interview, you're still fulfilling the JSA requirements.
There was someone here who claimed success with that. IDK though

I am in a similar situation. I booked my holiday to the U.S.A last July. Fully paid up and saved up in advance (Me and the Girlfriend have been planning and saving for three years!!!). We are due to leave in May for two weeks and one day.
I was made redundant three weeks ago due to the company I worked for being liquidated. Worked there 6 years. No redundancy payment, notice or anything.
First time I have ever been out of work in my life.
Luckily I have been paying my P.P.I for my mortgage for the last five years and have found out that i will be receiving the first payment next month.
I am now worried that if i go away on my holiday then I will have to stop my JSA which in turn will stop my P.P.I claim. I am not bothered for claiming the JSA while i am out of work but I have to to gain my P.P.I.
Will I lose both my JSA and PPI by going on this once in a lifetime holiday? Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Did you know that you can claim any missing back pay and redundancy money from a government scheme?
