Any one else had problems registering for 'orange wednesday' from other networks?

Got a flyer from Orange today saying they now offer 'orange wednesday' tickets to their ISP customers. However when I tried to register from my O2 phone I got a text back saying the user name was wrong and to text again then another message saying they couldn't process it and I needed to call customer support on an 08700 number. Is this a local call rate or a permium one, will it cost me more than the price of a cinema ticket? Has anyone else tried and had the same problem, Call me cynicall but I can't help thinking that this is a ploy to get more money out of people.
Thanks, Alison

  • If you have a problem registering for Orange Wednesday Cinema Tickets, perhaps because you have, say, an O2 phone but orange broadband and email, I may have a solution which worked for me.
I have an "orangehome" email address which, when I try to register, generates a message "Sorry, we've not been able to register you. Please ring customer support on 0844873586 for further help". Applying some lateral thought, I realised that this address superceded an old "Wanadoo" address that I used to have. using this address enabled me to register without any problems. Is this because the "orangehome" email address superceded my old "wanadoo" address. If so, ORANGE SHOULD LET EVERYONE KNOW about this issue. :T
