Does anyone actually make a decent small car that doesnt cost a fortune and doesnt look like a toon town car inside?
If one looks at the interior of the likes of the Aygo/Ci/Peugeot clones they dont look good..
What i want is sufficient performance and comfort to do 70 on a motorway without being deafened or buzzed to death, decent economy, low or even no road tax and a decent level of comfort and style inside.
Is that possible?

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

I don't know whether this makes me old, but when i was growing up all the makes and models of cars seemed different from each other. Whereas today cars big and small are so alike unless you can see the badge on the back it's unlikely you could say what it was.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Fiat 500 TwinAir fits the bill
No Road Tax - Free From London Congestion Charge (Depends if you drive into London if that will be any benefit)
69mpg 875cc Twin Cyl Turbo, fun as anything to drive, better performance than the 1.2 petrol by a country mile
Great Residuals for when you come to sell it
And above all its not bad inside, well built and easy on the eyesOver 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -
I used to have a citroen c2 which was a similar size to my sisters Aygo. Was lovely to drive & relatively cheap.0

Toyota IQ3 - the 1.33 litre not the 1.0. Really quiet inside, nicer feel than any of the budget 107s etc esp with the leather interior, but it is rather pricey for its size because its a premium car. Can sit 3 adults easy, and the width is the same as a honda civic so feels much bigger than it is, its a real tardis. Turning circle is the best on any car you can buy.
Will do 100 easily, 60mph can be reached in 2nd, and you have another 4 gears to go after that. Acceleration between 40 and 80 will leave most 1.6 petrol and 1.8 diesels standing - particularly good fun outpacing one of those Mercedes sprinter vans. 70 is about 2500rpm in 6th, 100 is about 4000rpm so engine barely above tickover. I thrash mine around hilly derbyshire, and works out at 10p a litre. Road tax I think was £300 -
Hyundi I10, small but looks like a real car and cheap tax as well as economic.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

While they will surely be cheaper than the Up! I don't think either company's offering is available in the UK yet.0 -
Skoda Fabia 1.4 TDi's too.
You don't state a budget though.0
