Once you get the ipad, if you are not techie minded, I would recommend booking into an ipad workshop at an Apple store. They are free of charge, there will be a small group of people all with new ipads and a member of Apple staff goes through absolutely everything in a very easy-to-understand way.0

Doubt the OP knows hows to tether, or even if he's got a iPhone (or smartphone capable of creating the WiFi hotspot), plus adding a tether plan to a contract can be expensive, unless you JB your iPhone, or use something like MiFi.
Both OH and I are on O2 which allows teetering up to the level of data on the contract. Happy days.Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

Tethering is cool, it got me out of a lot of sticky situations, especially when you are about to go on holiday and your boss rings you asking for some crap.
Didn't relise that with o2, thats quite good, although they only do a max of 2gb plan. I would smash that in a week, how do you guys get round this?0 -

I have 500MB on my contract and I never get close to that, even downloading photots etc. 95% of the time I'm in a wifi area/at home etc so it's never a problem.
What on earth are you using all that data on?Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.

Can anyone tell me what's the difference between a 32GB + WiFi ipad and a 16GB + WiFi + 3G one. I'm not technically minded at all. Can you also explain what is 3G?
If you are at the moment, or become, a BT Broadband Customer, you can sign up for their BT Fon WiFi service, which promises many thousands of accessible WiFi hotspots. Which is OK if you're always within reach of a reasonably built-up area, but if you want Internut access outside towns, cities and villages, you'll need 3G0
