Itunes Scam

Just to vent my frustraion about itunes. Have just lost all my instore credit from a scam where someone not at my location downloaded an app and in app credit to somewhere in China.
The app was developed by Shanghai MUHE network, but dont know the name as is in chinese script.
Looking at the reviews of this app all state that they have had money taken from their account, so just beware, especially if you have a credit card associated with it.
I am very careful online and dont give out information or subscribe to unknown things so no idea how this happened.
Beware and thanks for reading

What has Apple said about this? If their servers aren't secure enough to prevent this happening, one could argue it's their responsibility to reimburse you..."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Have you reported this? You really need to.0

I have emailed itunes as this is the only way you can report theft/scams etc and they say they will get back to me within 24 hours. So we will see.
I do hope that they see it as their responsibility to reimburse me.
I also phoned my CC company associated with my account to order a new card just in case (although no charges are on my account yet). Better to be safe than sorry i thought.0 -
It all depends on how much credit you had on iTunes?0

I'm sorry to sound a bit thick but is this an app that you downloaded or not?
I must admit that I have seen many forums with posts about money being taken from Itunes accounts, and unfortunately I tunes wont always reimburse the victim.
due to this reason I only ever download free apps and don't have a credit card stored on there or funds to purchase from.
I totally agree with fluffnutter that their servers are not secure, but Itunes don't seem to be concerned about this.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

I had £10.23 on my account and now I have 23p.
It was not an app that i had downloaded, the other person downloaded an app and then purchased in-app credit for the same app..Dont know how.
I only download personally, free apps too, as well as music, and now dont have a CC associated with the account.
I know its only £10 but frustrating to say the least.0 -
so you are saying they hacked your itunes?
how secure was your password
have you scanned for spyware/viruses?0 -
They were somehow able to get into my account, i guess that is hacking.
My password was very secure.....you couldnt guess it even if you knew me it is that obscure.
Have scanned today and none were found.0 -
Just been hacked too
£60 cleared off a gift card by someone downloading Japanese apps. Very annoying that I cannot speak to a human being at CrApple about this - I have had to contact them via the website - hope to get a reply (and full refund!) soon.

Just to update, (if anyone is interested):)
I emailed apple on their website and in less than 24 hours i had a nice email from someone in their customer services dept, the money returned, changed my password and had my account reinstated.
Fair play to apple i would say, even though it shouldn't have happened in the first place, for their quick resolution to the problem.
Hope others have as good a service from Apple.0
