The retractor has no selling history 256 feedback 100%, bidder 2 has 3 feedback 100%.
I think bidder 2 is also the retractor, but maybe I'm just being paranoid!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

The fact that they pulled so many retractions sounds very iffy.
The fact that they pulled the bid at a late stage, making it impossible for you to pull the auction does suggest this person is using 2 or 3 accounts to buy, 1 to actually buy with and other to bump up price so no bidders will get involed and then pull out, leaving a low bid in.
I would dig into there bidding history some more and if there paths have crossed before, i would refuse to sell to this bidder and report to ebay.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -

Have tried to have a look, however if my retractor is retracting for bidder 2 to buy his bid isn't going to show in auction history's is it?I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Hi
I believe Ebay are looking into ways of stopping this happening, I think they call it "bid shielding".
It has also happened to me before on a very expensive item, in the end I pulled the item off ebay using the end item tab (item no longer for sale) and relisted at a later date, received genuine bids and got a good price.
If you can try and end the item saying its no longer for sale, error in the listing etc. You still have to pay for listing the item but you wont lose as much as if you sell at a low price.
Hope that helps.

If you can see what bidder 2 has won, it you look in the bid history for that item it should show any retraction bids also.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0

I haven't ended it early, because the current high bidder could be genuine, plus I was hoping that someone else would bid. But with little more than an hour to go it's still on £1.04 :eek:I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Bidder 2 bought a BIN leather lip strap (what the heck is one of those!), a photo frame, and clothes (can't get into the item to check history as it says seller is away).
When I look at my own item in a search (via my sisters account), it doesn't show that there was a bid retraction on my item. Would it show up now or only when auction ends?I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.
