Everything all in takes about 1 hour 15 mins, Mon - Thurs.
I usually get this done in the mornings before work, then I don't have to worry about it any more, which suits me fine, as I don't really like housework. It also means I don't have to devote my free time or weekends to catching up.

I think (leaving aside SAHMs, of whom I used to be one for quite a number of years) that there are two approaches to housework among those who do it in any regular way at all: those like Splishsplash who prefer to do it in bite-sized pieces all through the week and have weekends free, and those like me: I'm quite happy to have my weekend and only non-working weekday revolve mainly around the housework as long as I don't have to do more than the minimum at the end of a working day. (Ideally I'd do it at the start like Splishsplash but in my case this would involve getting up at 4.30ish, which seems a bit much!) Apart from bedmaking, animal care, general tidying, food preparation and washing up/ensuring bathroom and kitchen are hygienic, I don't really want to do anything in the week as being at work leaves me just longing for peace and space to read/watch TV/whatever. It was a bit different when the children were younger as I needed to make sure they got to do some fun things at the weekend, but although I know it must sound a dull life to others, it suits me just fine.
