Thanks for that Tiger36, I hope you are right as you say.
Its just I'm asked every fortnight about "circumstances changing", why come visiting to ask the same question.
If they were to spring some malicious allegation at me, I would not know what to do, and how to disprove it.
I have enough worries in preparing for my new job without all this as well, I'm starting back in education as a teacher, so I've got lots of prep to do, and this is really affecting my preparations.0 -
If that is what they want, that is all they will want to see.shineray wrote:....yes the "review your claim" statement.
and at the bottom, proof of ID such as passport drvers liceince, utilty bills, bank statements.
The "Compliance Officer" probably won't know state of your claim, will tick off box & go to next visit.
These routine review checks are to confirm details at the home address to prevent phantom claims at bogus addresses.

Thanks peter999, but why wait 4/5 months to check phantom claims, seems a waste to me.
I still haven't told them about me starting work a week after the interview, as I think is best not to.
I have all weekend to worry about it now....hmmmmm?0 -
I was invited to the local Jobcentre for one of these Compliance Interviews which happened last week.
It can be a bit scary because the officer gave me an official sounding warning about this current "anything to declare" campaign that they're doing and the officer had to complete a formal statement at the end of the interview that I had to sign.
If you've done nothing wrong keep reminding yourself of that if you feel anxious.
My Officer had a stack of print off's from their system(s) that was covered in flourescent marker - and a long list of questions to ask...
bottom line their records were a bl**dy mess full of mis-information and wrongly input information, she didn't know if I was actually being paid JSACB or not!, so I'm hardly surprised I was "picked at random"
She did say that they are targeting certain areas for this green/red light declaring campaign and this was one of those areas.
If you've told them you are starting work it should be in their records.
Seriously it really is not worth worrying about at all, so relax and don't let it get to you, you'll be fine

Thanks guys, I've tried clicking the Thanks button but it wont work on the XDA browser, so I'll do it when I get on my pc next.
I' ll let you know Monday how I get on.
Its not nice to be suspected or accused of anything, even maliciously and anonymously or by clerical mistake.
I hope its a routine procedure review of my claim.......but WOW what timing!0 -
I have had the visit at 11am ish......all over in 5mins.
Not even asked to produce any documents, just asked when I'm starting work, they did know after all, wrote it down, and I signed it.
Well they could have done that tomorrow when I go to sign at the Jobcentre, and hand in my card.
What a needles worry and waste of time, still thanks to everyone who contributed advice.
Perhaps I can get in with my job preparation now!0 -
Did they say why they were visiting or was it just random ??shineray wrote:I have had the visit at 11am ish......all over in 5mins.

Sounds like a waste of time !!

No nothing said about being random, just to take statement about starting work next week, also said it was the quickest visit ever done.
The jobcentre already know all this, and tomorrow I'll repeat it all again.
What a waste of resources.0 -
