Ouch lala, but your mum did the right thing by speaking up on your behalf. I would be scared too but ifit needs to be done it needs doing.
I'm full of support for others BUT I got my appointment through on Monday to see the consultant about my knee. Last saw him 6 years ago and he recommended surgery way back then but I chickened out. I've had to bite the bullet now I'm ashammed to say and am scared stiff as I know it's going to be knee replacement :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Good luck for Monday, I can totally sympathise with your knee. I have a fast track appt thingie with my consultant for steroid injections in my knee but not had one yet;) Holding out till I'm desperate. Had a cartilage repair and knee clean last year but and it killed me not being able to drive or get to T's:(:(:(He's told me eventually I'll need a replacement:(
But if your going now it must have got really bad so you know your doing the best thing;)
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

  • I just nearly had a heart attack, went in the draw to get an envelope and found some ccoupons that came with the quarter mailings that I put safe until they were valid to use, £5 off £5, 2 x £4 off £40 & £3 off £30, thought I'd let them run out but luckily they are still valid for another 2 weeks

That is such a lovely post Westie:T:T:T

Got to say the best reason for giving up is wanting to;) I just wanted to and exactly as brand8 says, why save all ths money on here and then puff the rest away:(I genuinely never thought I'd give up and everyone on here helped me so much:TApril 7th will be 5 months and I still can't believe I dont smoke and I did for nearly 30 years!!:eek::eek::eek:
Their are quite a few given up on here at the moment so :beer::beer: to everyone, you know who you are and you're all doing fantastic.
Anyway still catching up but nipped to T's and got 2 Vtech camcorders for £14 each and some 1p rolos in a long tube. On the very top shelf at the back I spied a box of T's dessert 1p choccies, but with all the will in the world I wasnt able to get them. I even tried batting them down with a long tube of choocie eggs but it wasnt meant to be!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Went for the hospital appt and the consultant is doing my elbow op:T:T and booked it for 18th April but the lady who booked it said he wants to get you in quicker because of your pain, Can you do 24 hours notice. My mum straight away said yes that's fine she can:eek::eek::eek::eek:So they will phone me Monday morning and are trying to jig things about and get me in quicker. They did all my pre op tests and stuff today so as I can go straight in. The consultant said to me I'll be honest you'll be in agony after you've had it done:eek::eek::eek::eek: but if it works it'll be worth it. Bit scared now, especially as its my right arm so won't be doing anything for quite a while. He told me exactly what it entails, won't go into too much detail but got to drill holes in the bone!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:and a nice scar. So if I go AWOL you know whats happened to me;)but don't worry Happy the parcels in the post;)

I mentioned once before that I have had this op and yes it is a bit painful afterwards, but seriously it isn't that bad.

I just took paracetamol, which was enough to lessen the pain.

Best of all I have not had any recurrence of the tennis elbow since the surgery and that is about 17 years ago!:)

So please don't worry too much about having it done!!:D

    Evening all,

Just popping on briefly. Managed to get a handful of the Price Flop leaflets in Eg**m though they are still not in my local.

Made good use of a few of them earlier:

4 pk White Aero Mousse £1.29 (BOGOF)
Flake Dessert £0.45 (to take it up to £3)
    2 x Lurpak £3.20 (2 for £2)
2 x Fabulous Bakin' Boys Flapjacks £3.00 (BOGOF)
Ken Hom Kung Po Chicken £3.35
Ken Hom Chicken Chow Mein £3.35

    Sub-total before discounts: £15.93
Total after BOGOFs and offers: £10.24
4 x Price Flop Vouchers (butter, desserts, cakes & ready meals)
    TOTAL: 6.24 :D

I'm really enjoying the couponing now that I've learned the ropes - thanks everyone for all your help :)
