Went for the hospital appt and the consultant is doing my elbow op:T:T and booked it for 18th April but the lady who booked it said he wants to get you in quicker because of your pain, Can you do 24 hours notice. My mum straight away said yes that's fine she can:eek::eek::eek::eek:So they will phone me Monday morning and are trying to jig things about and get me in quicker. They did all my pre op tests and stuff today so as I can go straight in. The consultant said to me I'll be honest you'll be in agony after you've had it done:eek::eek::eek::eek: but if it works it'll be worth it. Bit scared now, especially as its my right arm so won't be doing anything for quite a while. He told me exactly what it entails, won't go into too much detail but got to drill holes in the bone!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:and a nice scar.
Ouch lala, but your mum did the right thing by speaking up on your behalf. I would be scared too but ifit needs to be done it needs doing.
I'm full of support for others BUT I got my appointment through on Monday to see the consultant about my knee. Last saw him 6 years ago and he recommended surgery way back then but I chickened out. I've had to bite the bullet now I'm ashammed to say and am scared stiff as I know it's going to be knee replacement :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

I did not know you couldn't, I saw it as 2.50 off each £10 spend on easter eggs so bought £20 worth and used 2 coupons etc and it accepted it. Same went with all the others. Only one that I had a problem with was the cakes but sa said I see you spent the right amount so overrode it. (what she did not notice was that another offer had come off also) hth's:D

She really peed me off this morning at 4am and it resulted in an argument....
I got up to go to the bog and Westie announces that she's off out with her camera. Now who here would go wandering around a huge park at 4am that has no street lighting?
No who here would do that with there headphones in?
And who here would do it carrying £3,000 worth of photography equipment? Especially if you were 5' 11" and built like a rake?
Good lord you're a tall family! But on the other matter, that's what's called having an argument for the right reasons, naughty Westie taking a risk like that!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2023

3Dogs - I hope your sister's wrist mends quickly but er.........why didn't she just stand in the bath to do it or ask her (presumably taller) husband to do it? Speaking as someone who lives alone, I always think three times before taking any risks like standing on the side of baths or loos or anything as I could be there for days before anyone realises!I can get you an answer in an hour, going to pick up the wife who works in a shoe shopnictrinwyn wrote: »I would buy size 5 to be on safe side, but she is probably size 4.
