Morning all.
Having finally managed to get a nice Boots order yesterday (thanks again for the help) I thought I would try Body Shop this morning.
They have a code on the front page of their site which gives buy 2 get 2 free across the whole site so I bought 4 items and it recuced them all to half price.
Two of my items were make up so that gave me a free £9 carbon eye definer as well.
There is also an offer of a £12.50 Sweet Pea body butter duo for £1 if you spend over a £18 and as I had spent exactly £18 I got this too.
Because, like a good MSE-er, I was trying to get the best value for money I was doing a lot of adding to basket and taking away again and checking how this affected the total amount due but this seemed to add the free eye definer pencil to my basket but not necessarily take it back out again.
I'm sure if I had persevered I could have got free postage too but I stopped as I was quite happy with this:
Foot File Spoon (12120) 1 GBP3.00 GBP3.00
Liquid Eyeliner (87248) 1 GBP4.50 GBP4.50
Colourglide™ Lip Colour (67501) 1 GBP4.50 GBP4.50
Satsuma Shower Gel/Cream (87918) 1 GBP6.00 GBP6.00
Body Butter Duo Sweet Pea (88104) 1 GBP1.00 GBP1.00
a total spend of £19 + 2.99 postage for what is actually £48.50 of stuff at full price and, wait for it...
Carbon Eye Definer (84068) 1 GBP0.00 GBP0.00
Carbon Eye Definer (84068) 1 GBP0.00 GBP0.00
Carbon Eye Definer (84068) 1 GBP0.00 GBP0.00
Carbon Eye Definer (84068) 1 GBP0.00 GBP0.00
Carbon Eye Definer (84068) 1 GBP0.00 GBP0.00
Carbon Eye Definer (84068) 1 GBP0.00 GBP0.00
Carbon Eye Definer (84068) 1 GBP0.00 GBP0.00
Carbon Eye Definer (84068) 1 GBP0.00 GBP0.00
Carbon Eye Definer (84068) 1 GBP0.00 GBP0.00
Yes, count them, 9 free carbon eye definer pencils which normally sell at £9 each!
Total spend of £21.99 inc postage for £129.50 of stuff!
It will be interesting to see what I receive but I have already had an e-mail confirming my order which includes all 9 free eye pencils. If you're not scared, you're not paying attention0 -

today is the day! The plumber is due in 30 mins to make a start on replacing my heating. I have done more or less everything i can in terms of packing things up and moving other things, so will just have to see how it goes now
Weather wise its pretty grim here so far.

Fk- i think that the pictures you show us are stunning! Mine is only a little sony cybershot point and shoot job but i am learning with it all the time, and have managed to take some lovely pictures with it (well, in my mind anyway!)
Am hoping that i will be able to get out in the garden this week for some bird pics, we get a lot of birds in the garden but they dont tend to stay very long once they get wind of my little feline friend!
Dont put your pics down, i think that you have a natural eye for what makes a good pic :-)I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Monring All
It's pretty misty here on the Surrey/Hants border. Just clocking in after the weekend and playing the usual Monday morning catch up - I'm working back so only got to P275!
Just wanted to thank Fudge_Cake for the link to sweetapolita - have bookmarked it. Your cake looked divine - reminded me of a friend who makes cakes from beetroot etc etc, all delicious too.
FK- am loving your pics. I love taking pics - describe myself as a happy snapper rather than anything else as I am very, very amateur. I have an oldish DSLR but only just making real progress with it. Just wondering if you or missy.moo can advise me please: I have (stupidly probably) just stored my pics on the hard drive, but think they are slowing up the whole computer. OH deleted a few, some he shouldn't have. He has got them back but they are all muddled up and have not gone back into the files they were sorted into. I use a mac. Any ideas? Can you recommend an external hard drive, or help me with storing photos any better way please?
Emmlouie - aww, I always used to fall asleep saying goodnight to my LOs - such sweet times.
And the rats... they are everywhere! Used to live in Dubai, and one year, the municipality overhauled the drainage system. We were away for a month when the work started and when we came home, all the rats whose homes had been disturbed had taken refuge in our house! Our poor little cat had done her best to sort the problem out, but we walked through the front door into a hall littered with decapitated rats, pot plants upturned and general rat-cat wrestling debris! Took a while to get rid of the horrible things.
Happy Day!0 -
