this sounds like my house came in to the room to find boys shouting for england confused mum "what, you dont like england" its tactics you would not understand just cheer for england, and make us a panade..
so i went back to the kitchen and left them to it, but i dont think they deserve the cakes i was baking.

Ok... I'll say it like this... England has handed us (Wales) the RBS championship... not the Grand slam, that game is on next week, but the actual championship...
If England had lost against France it would be a different kettle of fish..
Thats what they mean by being tactical... :T:T:T:T

overheard a conversation between 2 staff.

"yeah but where are we gonna put these?"

"i thought maybe down the seasonal aisle."

"yeah but if martins lot:eek::eek: find them there will none left"

she didnt have anything in her hand except a piece of paper with some computer writting on it. and i wasnt close enough to read it. i was hoping she might leave it lying on the shelf but she didnt

That's where I found my dessert chocs other day, they were just in a pile but looked out of place in the aisle where they were. Very interesting you overheard this. Just have to keep our eyes peeled for things being restocked. Last year I got the 1p Thorntons moments months after they were first reported reckon they must have sat in the stock room until a staff member with no clue to their value put them out. ;)

I had a look today for the Thorntons chocolates mentioned above. No luck with that, but whilst rummaging amongst the various chocolate boxes I did have a bumper 1p find that made stopping off before work worthwhile.

I think most of this will be new to the thread (admittedly a couple may not be)

    Tesco Finest Dessert Chocolate Collection
    300g black and purple box
    B/C ends 88088
    BBE May 2012
    Thats Mothers Day sorted ;-)

    Galaxy Promises Smooth Truffle.
    18 pieces per box.
    B/C ends 48345
BBE 4/3/12 (but no one in my office seemed to mind as they are all gone already!)

Quality Street My Purple Bar (mentioned above)
    B/C ends 4213
    BBE Sep 2012

    Hello Kitty Milk Chocolate Buttons
    85g rectangular cardboard carton
    B/C ends 77543
    BBE Nov 2012

Cadbury 6 Milk Chocolate Tree Decorations
55g blue/purple bag with a picture of Santa on the majority of the right hand side of the pack
    B/C ends 22423
    BBE 04/2012

    Cadbury Magical Elves
    Chocolate with Popping Candy
    B/C ends 16774

Blooming typical isn't it? I went in hoping to find one thing and I buy 6 things not even on my list. :rotfl:

Ok then an update from me (I'll spare you the details of all the carp in my life that prevents me from keeping up with you lovely lot and just focus on T's....for your own sanity!) : -

    Yesterday I did a 60 mile round trip of T's! 3 x Superstores, 3 x Extra's, 3 x Expresses, 1 x Home and 1 x Metro! :eek::o

Well I didn't find 1 box of chocolates...1!!!!!:mad::( I really wanted the Thorntons and Dessert chocs but seems it's not meant to be :( Found lots and lots of Honeycomb TCO's and Big Purple Ones and that was it (both of which I have more than enough of already so only bought a few Purple Ones for another Eliter;))

I got some great bargains at the Home store on clothing/boots. I didn't get to T's for the £1 clothing sale so was really happy when I went in yesterday and there was a huge crowd gathering? As I got closer I realised there were 2 SA's reducing all sale items by half again for everyone queueing :D So I whizzed round, grabbed a few bits from the front of the store and queued up, asked the SA what was going on and she said it wouldn't be all day, just for a bit. So whizzed off again and grabbed some more bits, went to the back of the store this time and found some great things. My top bargain being a pair of black leather boots for £6.50 :jLots of other bits too, spent £47 but some have to be returned as their clothes seem so big? The size 6 jeans are huge on the waist :( (fine on the leg!)

Although I was really happy with what I got, I was feeling a little blue by the end of the trip, minus any choccies and feeling very foolish for spending so much on fuel :(And then karma, good luck whatever it was happened to place about 4 clipstrips of the dry sunscreen sprays complete with £1.24 SEL. I may have purchased 'a few' ;):D AND it's a goldie!!!!!!!!!!! :T

Turns out it wasn't a waste of a day after all!:rotfl::rotfl:

Wombled lots of long receipts too, one with 127 points on but debit card payment, not sure whether to collect them.

Bought 2 of the Cathedral City bogof with 2 coupons today, sad the price flop leaflet has ended :(

Whoopsies; not had too much luck recently but today I picked up 2 sandwiches, a pack of pork pies, a s/w filler, a 4 pk Activia creamy yogs and a choc monkey traybake b'day cake for £1 :D (In A's, absolutely zilch in T's and M's...yes I did walk to all 3 :o:o) !!!

Hope everyone's well, I miss you guys lots when I don't get the chance to read all your news :)

3Dogs, I'm so glad to hear of the improvements Mr 3Dogs is making. And also how Molly and Bess are getting along :D My thoughts are with you all :Axx

4 stores done today and could not find a solitary 1p item. (still had fun trying though:D )

Did find those powerball finish thingy's from the good ole DTD days, im sure i remember them being £10 now £2.43:)http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/search/searchcontainer.jsp?trailSize=1&searchString=finish&domainName=Products&headerVersion=v1&_requestid=164889

Got trouted badly in N*eath A*bbey on the batteries. Saw sel b1g1f and asked a supervisor if it included AA and AAA which she replied yes its all the duracell in the large boxes at the front of the till area. (just to cover myself ;) ) so picked up 8 packs, paid and off I trot to CS. She tries to convince me that it was the tesco brand b1g2f and I had made a mistake, she then demands I show her where I had got them from (from this point I could see this was not going to go my way from her attitude) so I show her and there just so happens to be a manager standing there right where the batteries are and conversation goes just like this....

CSA to manager..this lady has bought a substantial amount of batteries but the offer has finished (shows the manager the yellow sel with offer on that I had shown her)
Me...I hardly think 8 packs is a substantial amount.
Manager....this is ridiculous, I told them to make sure all labels were taken down on friday. Turns to me angrily and says sorry offer has finished you cant have them at that price.
Me....I dont want them at that price now I can see you have overcharged me
Manager...well what do you want then?
Me....DTD as I have been overcharged
Manager...You shouldnt have bought them in the first place as the offer has finished
Me...But I asked a supervisor before I purchased them to confirm the offer was still running otherwise I would not have bought them, I can point her out to you if you wish
Manager...why did you ask a member of staff?, you might as well have asked a member of the public and got the same answer.
Me...so your saying if I need help with pricing in your store I should not ask a member of staff as they dont know what they are talking about?
    Manager...yes thats what I said
Me ...well I think that you should be honouring your price promise as it was not my mistake but your stores mistake for charging me more than what was advertised, which is your policy.
Manager...you can have them at b1g1f and thats all im willing to do
Me...no thank you I will have a full refund, your name and head offices number please

He gives me a refund, his name and cs number, I then smile turn to him and say...Thank you, see you tomorrow after I have spoken to cs and they tell me to come back and get my dtd, oh and hopefully send you on a training course on company policy and how to speak to customers properly. His face was red with thunder but I felt a whole lot better for it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Source of flies found. Dead rat in loft and there is never only one is there. :(:(:(

Body has now been disposed of but he has found evidence that they may have been coming in and out through a hole near the joists and next doors dividing wall.

So I am sat on rat duty at bottom of loft ladder, while OH is hoovering up evidence with old hoover that cuts out after 5 mins. I knew i kept it for something. He is going to set traps up there but wants to clean up so he can see if there is anything fresh. :(

I can't bear thinking about it. I really thought it might have just been a dead bird as we did rescue a blackbird once. At least none of my stash is in the loft. Although would have a field day if any got in the house and we would never find it as you all know what a house of an MSEer is like unless you have a lovely garage like Nikki. ;)

Oh no, Hope they did not destroy much.
I have heard scratching in our loft for the past 3 months, bought mouse traps (wishful thinking, rather than rat traps) I am way to scared to go up there and DH still cant be bothered to do it. Have many sentimental things up there and hoping they have not gnawed into any of it. The thought sends shivers down my spine. Really need to give DH a kick up the butt, think he is secretly scared too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
