Stupid thing is, won't even eat most of the choccies myself. My mum will have some for mothers day and dad for b'day. I will give them both some now to cheer them up, and will give the rest of the thorntons to them to give to hospital and nurses that look after my dad. That's where most of the foxes biscuits I got went to.
I have enough choc to last a lifetime already, just with what people give me for b'days and xmas.
Still have a thorntons chocolate champagne bottle from b'day last march that is unopened!!!!A clinically depressed person with a sleep condition. I'm in my own little world, but it's ok the people like me here

Got trouted with 8 boxes of desserts chocs earlier, got the usual "they only 1p, we can't sell you them" and there is me looking at the screen and thinking "it says Fudge, not chocs, can't even pretend they should be clearance products at 1p" so left it without too much fight.

I mean practical stuff like packing things up so it doesnt get damaged and stuff like that?
The OCD part of me is going to have a field day and a nightmare all at the same time
I want to make sure i am prepared for any eventualities. I dont want to get caught out with anything that I should have done beforehand if that makes sense?
How long's it going to take? Is the place going to be totally uninhabitable, or can you shuffle round, room by room?Hope is not a strategy.0 -
Evening all, hope you're all well? Off to catch up from last night.....zippydooda wrote: »that would = 3.5p each
Sorry, it was 250% of the price and 150% mark-up therefore 2.5p per box

about a week i reckon. I could manage shuffling stuff round room by room if it was all boxed up, but it would be tight as i have a lot of stuff. And I mean a lot!
I'm finding box storage space that i didnt think of before now though!
I darent even start thinking about whether its going to be habitable here or not....the whole lot is being ripped out and replaced. Floors coming up, loft being gutted, back boiler being ripped out, kitchen cupboards being rearranged, you name it
I was wondering if anyone here had had a similar experienceI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Get protective covering for your carpets (mucky feet in and out all the time) you can get sticky plastic stuff that's its technical name:rotfl:
Acquire old towels for putting down/mopping up try charity shops and friends
Move any pictures off walls valuables makes it easier for plumber to move with ease
Buy bottled water so you can have a drink
Save a bathful of water to flush the toilet
Ask which rooms they're working in next day and clear access the night before the plumber will love you
All I can think of at the moment
