I'm finding box storage space that i didnt think of before now though!
probably you should ask the engineer where he will run the pipes through the floor, so you can pack stuff well away from where the floor boards will be lifted.
also where are the rads going ?
won't be wanting a wall of stuff there either.

Acquire old towels for putting down/mopping up try charity shops and friends
Move any pictures off walls valuables makes it easier for plumber to move with ease
Buy bottled water so you can have a drink
Save a bathful of water to flush the toilet
Ask which rooms they're working in next day and clear access the night before the plumber will love you
All I can think of at the moment

I just spent the last weekend cleaning my carpets too
Very good tips, thank you. I have copied them onto a word doc so i can come back to it and add when i need toprobably you should ask the engineer where he will run the pipes through the floor, so you can pack stuff well away from where the floor boards will be lifted.

The plumber and my landlord are coming round on saturday to come up with a plan. i know that at least 2 rads are being moved, and 3 being added, and where they're going so i can make sure that those walls are clear. Which they obviously arent at the moment. One of them has my bed against it.
Will go to asda and get some of those dust sheets. As i mentioned earlier, my heating is being done next week. Does anyone have any tips on how i get through please?
I mean practical stuff like packing things up so it doesnt get damaged and stuff like that?
The OCD part of me is going to have a field day and a nightmare all at the same time
I want to make sure i am prepared for any eventualities. I dont want to get caught out with anything that I should have done beforehand if that makes sense?
Guys who did mine couple year ago didnt make too much a mess i just moved everything to opposite sides of room from radiators they even cleaned up after themselves.
Had new rads , combi boiler and electric fire. Hope that helps a bit.0 -

Am I right in remembering from earlier that you are in rented accommodation, or have I got that wrong? If so, there is no way you should be expected to stay there while the work is carried out.
If no, you are welcome to b&b at lutzi towers, but I am Oop North.Hope is not a strategy.0 -
