Almost forgot, I too got my lovely easter egg today..looks too good to eat, but I'm sure I'll manage...chocolate again!!!!
Got trouted today in Whsmiths...couldn't believe the rude little !!!!!!. I wanted to return a book, only bought on Sat and my DD had forgotten her book token, so wanted to use it too..had paid with a gift card originally...don't know how I came to possess a few gift cardsThe SA says he will have to put the amount back onto a giftcard, of course...that's fine. When done, he shows me the extra pound put on giftcard..for the book token. I then say, well the book I have swapped is £1 cheaper, I know it was only a pound, but look after the pennies and all that..anyway he says no I have swapped the book...bit confusing as was 3 books for price of 2. But original was £6.99 + £6.99 + £5.99, then it was £6.99 + £5.99 + £5.99, so I should have had extra £1 back...explained this and then I said I'm not really bothered, it's only a pound...to this he opens the till, gets a pound and shoved it in my hand and says...clearly you are.
I turned around to my OH, a bit shocked at SA and loudly say..I think we are better to shop online...to which I then hear the SA say..I think you are. I just walked away and laughed...can't actually believe he spoke to me like that. Oh well, might go back, to spend a few more giftcards and see if I can upset him again! lol...right off to bed, somehow got to get up at 7am.
Quickly skimmed through your post 3dogs, glad you have some lovely people around you to help you out and do thoughtful things like the ipod. Goodnight all, hope we all have a lovely glitchy - non trouty day tomorrow0 -

Thanks to OP on ebay code today, used on a pressie for my nephew..great timing..thanks again.
WELL DONE to all with the 1p finds today, :j:j I won't be venturing out in my local area as I share this with Tinyshoes and so I have a feeling I won't find anything..lol. But you never know, I might have a little bit of luck when I do my normal shop on Friday and find some restocked. I'm not too worried anyway, as it's probably best I don't go getting more cheap chocolate. It didn't take my family very long to get through the 34p CDM's...just I know my 11 year old DD would like the galaxy promises...but again NO..better not to have chocolate.
Wanted to say to the lady (sorry forgot username) with the child...argument problem..I know how you feel. I went through a similar thing with one of my neighbours that I used to be really friendly with. I used to look after her 2 children and she looked after my DD in the summer. My DD is a few years older than them though, so she would get bored. My neighbour/friend got funny with me all of a sudden and didn't seem to want to talk to me much. So I text her one day and asked if there was something wrong...to which she text back and I was so shocked at her answer...as she said that she felt my daughter intentionly bullied her daughter and that my DD was a brat. The problem with my DD is she wears her heart on her sleeve and always says/shouts what she feels, so she always appears to be the one making a fuss, causing the arguments. My DD is no angel but she is so caring. I was really upset at the harsh words and that the neighbour didn't come to me and try to talk it over like adults. After that I hardly spoke to her, I felt bad that this person was looking after my DD feeling that way about her. Sorry babbling on, but I just sympathise. Luckily I have a lovely friend that has a DD same age and when they fall out, we don't get involved.
Hi nictrinwyn,
Had a good look in both extra stores and could not find any galaxy promises or quality street purple bars, there were loads a while back at FB in the clearance section at the back of the store. (and the Ecover Nikki got but not there once price went to 31p!!) Feel a bit bad now about taking all the desert chocs but they will go to good homes. OH will be down a few hours again once this digital tv switch thing has happened (he does outreach work for a charity) so my find has come at a good time.
Up so late as we lost BBC2 earlier, behind the times I know still on analogue. Did invest in a Freeview tv but spent last couple hours trying to tune in to Digital to finally find a website that says P00le won't be up and running until 6am. Missed an episode of an american series we like to watch.
Hope you are all sorted with your tv.0 -

'Wallets' still scan at 50p though.
I found that bucket of maltesers on Wednesday....got excited thinking they'd go through at £1.50.....put them through with the rest of my shopping.....went through at £6 :eek::eek::eek:, got SA to take them off.
Did you leave any penny sweets? Couldn't find any at IHandle every stressful situation like a dog.

Thanks for the info. I only really tend to look in FB as it's closest to me. Don't feel bad about getting your bargains I am happy for you and I probably would have missed them. I never seem to find anything on my own...lol. Yes our tv is fine, thanks. My OH couldn't live without his sky. Don't even know why we are up so late. Really, really got to go to bed.0 -
