Tesco 11+ Elite (and me) H.O. for glitches and gossip

Hi Tweets
Sorry for being misleading ... there are no £12 coupons for the knives offer.
It's just that when you buy the scissors/chopping board with the 70% off coupons the item goes thru the till at full price e.g.- scissors = £9.99
- chopping board = £26.99
For most of the knives the 70% is £12 and the price to pay is either £4.49 or £4.99 ... which if you have a £5 off wys £40 makes one of them free.
Hope this makes sense.
Thank you dcon that makes sense now. :T0 -

Now it's a fantastic saving don't get me wrong but I really don't understand the logic as to what illnesses are classed as applicable for free medication and those that aren't. I've been taking prednisolone steroids (and about 20 other drugs daily) since I was 5 (now 24) as my body doesn't produce cortisole naturally (which is apparently the criteria for receiving free meds)...however a diabetic will receive insulin free because their body is lacking in it. I know I'm blond but really I see no logic in this whatsoever! My Father has MS and Mum has something like arthritis and both of us are also blood clot sufferers....but for some reason none of this makes us exempt?! MADNESS!
Diabetis is a serious ilness you know
My dad got free meds for his diabetis because if he had to pay £7.20 for each prescription he'd be in perminent debt. so much other stuff can happen to your body because of it
psoriuses (sp)
angina
strokes
losing limbs
I find this really offensive.
i lost my dad 24th november 2009 when i was just 19 and he was 48
far too young to die!!!
In my life ive had to stand there and watch my dads face fall to one side whilst hes having a stroke in front of me several times
watch him have angina attack after angina attack
watch his whole hands/legs seeze up and him not be able to move
in fact ive spent my life slowly watching my dad die in front of me until just after his 48th birthday he has to have his foot removed, then caught ceedif from the filthy hospitals, then have his whole leg removed, then catch mrsa then watch him die
So sorry but i would have rather had to pay for all his prescriptions and still have him here than get free ones but still lose him
its just money, moneys nothingYou can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in

So for example big bar of galaxy card and gift card & reusable carrier £15.08 pay with card and so on. I know others where getting amazing deals but I thought I should mention this stores interpretation of the memo.0

This might be a good JTD comparison to use the lenor SSM coupons.
T's £2.25
A's £2.24 or 2 for £3..
Buy 2, use 2 coupons... = £2.50 + £1.50 JTD which should make it (if it compares, it does online) £1 for 2 bottles...0 -

We have all just accepted paying the charge and I am grateful that atleast the pre payment certificates are available otherwise I'd be upwards of £300 per year
I've just read my post again and I sound a little crazy! Sorry I don't want anyone to be offended, it's not that I have anything against diabetics or anyone else that gets their prescriptions free, I just feel that the guidelines are not very well explained at all and I'm all about fairness, what's good for one has to be good for another IMO:A (although I know this is far too idealistic in this day and age....god I sound like my grandmother!:rotfl:)
Nope I got the Galaxy Promises in my local superstore, so definitely worth a lookDiabetis is a serious ilness you know

Tricia, I feel for you and it must have been really hard for you to go through it with your dad.Fudges post obviously hit a nerve with you, which some posts do sometimes. I remember a while back someone posted a thing about kids that were brought up in the 70's/80's and how they played outside and stuff and lived in asbestos houses, My dad died from asbestosis so the post really bothered me. If you look and I think you might have missed it fudge did post after that she didnt mean to offend anyone:(Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
