I'd like to know what benefit deaf people get from the subtitles provided for the 'Intros Round' on Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

Seriously, subtitling humming and da-da-da-da type noises that even hearing people can't get the song title from. What hope has a deaf person who's never heard the song in the first place?
