yes i read it but getting confused with it all! ok so you pat the £37 and if you breakdown you may have to pay for it to be fixed..fair enough but what's the difference of another one i have found where you pay the £30 per year, what happens then if i breakdown is it the same thing but i don't pay upfront?0

Then use that one!
But are you sure it covers everything as with Autoaid? which is fully comp including homestart, (£65 limit on this service only), any vehicle, (within it T&Cs), you or your legal spouse are driving, including running out of fuel and locking keys in car,(something the other cheapos don't cover).
Who are the company charging £30. ?Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
hi
would full cover for 3 persons with 2 cars be £37* 3??
thanks.0 -

Hi gaby
The cover include rescue (getting fixed at roadside), at home, recovery (taking to garage) and onward transport e.g. hotel, taxi etc.
You have to pay upfront but claim back for labour and call out charges
Parts are at your own costs (as with anyone else like AA, RAC).
Cover is for 12 months.but what's the difference of another one i have found where you pay the £30 per year, what happens then if i breakdown is it the same thing but i don't pay upfront?
Some policies don't charge you (except for parts).
BUT be careful that it has the same level of cover.
The chepaer ones might be RESCUE only so will try to fix the car at the roadside but won't recover to a garage or help you at home.
It's very important to decide what level of cover you want and make sure you are comparing like with like.
The level of cover with AutoAid is very good, but it's "pay n claim" i.e. pay up front and then claim back.
Please check as if you have found another £30 policy then chances are it's RESCUE only.0 -
Just signed up for cover on my '56 ford focus and my '03 yamaha xt 600
Would be hard pushed to find cover for both from what seems to be a reputable company for much less!
Tailor made for folk with more than one mode of transport0 -
Yes, your right.
We have 2 cars and 2 bikes, so you really can't knock the price.
I'm in my third year but I've not had to use it.0 -
Just renewed again, the third year. well happy, have used once no problem0

Thinking of signing up for AutoAid but after reading the policy docs, etc, I have a question:
If you breakdown, Can you simply elect to be recovered to home and that’s it?
Do you have to give them the opportunity to fix the car, as this could run into a big bill of parts, which I may have at home and the skills to fit them!
I would be more than happy with just a recovery service and fix the car myself at my leisure.0 -
I dont see why not, when i used them i just called a local recovery service, not a mechanic0
