Another win with the local paper - thank you everyone!

I've just received a pair of cinema tickets through the post. This is my third win with the local paper this year (back in January I won an MP3 player, and last week I got a book). :j
This is just a quick note to thank you for your advice re entering local competitions. I didn't think I would win so much in such a short time. I'll keep entering competitions (both online and offline), you're an inspiration to me. :A
I'm also thinking about joining the comping challenge, although I don't think I'll do great with online wins this year
- or who knows? Maybe I will.
Good luck :j

I just started entering the compos in the local paper that gets pushed through the door. On only my second entry, I won a year's supply of Tetley's Redbush tea ...
Well, it said a year's supply, but it was actually 240 tea bags altogether. Since I drink at least two cups a day, this will last me more like 4 months. Still, it's free! Here's to more wins .. I'm hoping for tickets to Madam Butterfly this week. :jFor where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0 -
Well done local paper comps are great to enter as not many people tend to enter. So keep entering and hopefully you will soon win a dream of a prize. Dont forget to keep doing the online comps too as there are some great prizes just waiting to be won.Competitions wins 2010

We can see any film we want, at the local Cineworld. I'd love to see 'Rocky Balboa'.

Thank you.
Yep, I always enter by post. Some competitions have mobile phone entry as an option, but I've never used it. Following MSErs' advice, I get my postcards for free from the local cinemas (most of the time you'll find them in the refreshments area), so I only pay for the stamps.
I've discovered this section of the forum recently, but I must say I've already learned a lot from the people on here. Last year I won some prizes 'by accident' - I wasn't keen on comping at all. This year it's different: I've made a list with all the wins, and I'm thinking about joining the comping challenge. These prizes (small as they may be) do keep me motivated. :j'Into every abyss I still bear the blessing of my affirmation' (Friedrich Nietzsche)0 -

Congratulations!
I won some cinema tickets from a local competition a few weeks ago. Trouble was, I read the congratulations email only a couple of hours before the screening was due to start, so I couldn't go. D'oh! Must keep a closer eye on my email for the next time...;) 0
