Anyway, Simon7685, I wish you the very best in getting whatever help you can get. I can't help with any useful info, but it sounds like you are having a very stressful time. I wish you well.
xx
Soapn definitely is. I think there are a few on the go.Another are websites like Freecycle, their offshoots like Freegle, Freeshare, Gumtree Freebies, plus furniture charities that donate furniture and household items to the needy or sell them cheaply.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0 -

They are.
So I responded to you for obvious reasons.0 -

You got me on the Budgeting loan - you are absolutely right, nothing was specifically said about budgeting loans in Simon's post. However this thread is about a budgeting loan which is not the loan that is being removed next year - it will continue for a while yet, therefore my post has plenty of merit in response to Simon's post, thank you.
You did respond to me for 'obvious reasons'. That 'obvious reasons' being that you assumed I was responding to you and that you felt that my posting contradicted your post, which it did not. If I was responding to anyone other than the OP I would either quote your post or quote your
Seriously, who trawls through all the posts to find one word I posted incorrectly and drags up a thread that hasn't been posted on for a week just to try and make a point? No mention of all the facts I posted on my last entry - but I suppose some people don't let facts and another posters desire to help to get in the way of their starting an argument.
It's most certainly an insight into the type of person you are, to go to such lengths.0 -

I certainly dont think it should be used for something trivial as my car wont pass its MOT or a holiday etc, this is just abuse of the system but washing machines and fridge freezers in certain circumstances yes that is maybe acceptable.
I do agree that people should budget for these kind of things if it is possible and it can be done whether on benefits or not in my opinion. Putting a small amount away each week cant hurt, even a couple of quid is something.
As someone said above we all have to take responsibility for our own finances and make sure you dont go short.
you tell others to budget yet you used a budgeting loan for FOOD? it's not meant for food, you get benefits for that, surely if you are going to budget for anything it's food! you failed to do that, so a bit rich for you to post what you have.0 -

So already on a reduced income compared to when at work and then a new baby as well. One month old at the time of the payment with no additional income at that time.
Kind of hard to budget regardless of what the loan was intended for.0 -

Why have you resurrected a thread that is six months old?0 -

And yes i can put that and other silly things and still get a loan, I usually phone them up to see if they got the forms back and usually end up with them having a laugh about what silly thing i've added to the form this time,
Next time i need a loan it will be because i want to train as a fighter pilot
ps: No one try anything like the above as getting a loan would be nil, It's only because they know me and my disabilities that i get away with it, And second week in April is the best time to apply.0 -

that makes more sense, I just thought it a bit of a double standard for someone to say they got a budgeting loan for food but others should budget.
Crisis loans are sometimes needed, no problem with that.0
