Well, we had a great time, and had plenty of time. We all thought the tour was amazing, and spent loads of time looking at everything. We took about 8 million photos...!!
However, we were SERIOUSLY disappointed with the gift shop and the ridiculous prices. I'm not surprised that they sell such expenive stuff, cos folk were buying it, but I don't think it would have hurt them to have a few 'pocket money' bits for those families that want a souvenir but aren't loaded. We came away with a fridge magnet - £5.95. Kiddo wanted some 'Every Flavour Beans', but changed her mind when she saw they were £9.95 for a small box.
Great day out other than that though!0 -
I did buy the 'Every Flavour Beans', did you get your book stamped?
Did you try the Butter Beer?0 -
Yes, and it was delicious!! Got a great pic of the 3 of us with 'butterbeer moustaches'!0

I didn't see any frozen butterbeer, it was chilled butter beer they served us. I must admit I didn't like it as found it a bit too sweet for my taste, but the kids really enjoyed it.0 -
I went a few weeks ago and had a 2:30 slot. It was fantastic, and all done in around 3 hours. Well worth the money, I dont have kiddies myself but I can imagine it'd be a magical day for them. As an adult it was pretty spectacular. I have to disagree with any positive Butterbeer comments though, I thought it was vile! Still, each to their own and you have to try these things!

Quick question to those who have been VERY recently , do the majority of the visitors still dress up ?? Or was only on the first day , when I was there?
Ps I liked the 'butter beer ....... Butterscotch in cream Soda , couldn't drink lots of it , but a drink that could not be refused.0 -
I didn't see many dressed in costume. A handful of kiddies and one or two adults. We were dressed normally.
Aah..now I know the recipe for Butterbeer I can be sure to avoid it in future, thanks :-)0
