    Just to check, this isn't just something that you found in some woodland? You did grow them yourself or buy them? Having fungus experts for a father & grandfather, I am well aware of all the nasty ways you can die from eating fungus that you haven't properly identified.

    On the other hand, I also know how delicious some fungus can be :)

    I always like to eat raw mushrooms. I call them poor mans chicken!

    i often pop in to the fridge and grab and handfull of raw mushroom if im feelinga little peckish (or bored and just need something for my mouth to do) it beats going in and raiding the cake box i guess

    yum - love em! don't wash though - they are like sponges that soak up bucket loads of water!

    me too - but i tend to take the stalks out and fill the holes with something like picalilly or ketchup!!
