Actually I'll bet it's really Telefonica who are o2 Parent and Spanin based.wantmemoney wrote:Firstly the company in Spain that o2 UK want to share with and send your money to is Movistar. It's o2 sister company..
not important but it is Movistar .http://www.telefonica.com/en/about_telefonica/html/telefonica_brands/at_identidad_marcas.shtml
Telef!nica approved a new brand model for the entire Group in early 2009. This model, which was launched firstly in Spain in May 2010, will be implemented throughout the next two years in every country where the Telef!nica Group is present and will be one of the fundamental pillars of growth in the future.
Telef!nica as a brand will play a corporate and institutional role all over the world with Movistar and O2. The brands under which the commercial offer will be structured in its respective countries are Movistar for Spain and Latin American and O2 in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Czech Republic and Slovakia.
@Verzweifelt it's up to you but if it was me I would get advice on how to dispute this with o2. How to draft the letter for instance. The CAB may be a place to go.
If o2 did chase this as 'damages' in court (which I believe is unlikely) you may find that the Judge simply would not allow o2 to put all the onus for the security of the account on you.
you may want to get other opinions here.
