Leaving O2

I've just phoned O2 today to cancel my contract as I was going to go to Giffgaff. I told them that I had been offered 200 mins unlimited texts and unltd data for £10 per month. O2 have offered me 300 minutes, unltd texts and 100mb data per month. I've got this for £8.50. This gives me enough usage to be able to look things up online when I need to and I'm out of the house or not near a wifi area but I'm not paying through the nose to be able to access the internet from a phone accidentally. It's a bit of a minefield isn't it?

100mb data is not a lot so don't go downloading loads of videos
for the extra £1.50 you would be better of with GG
unlimited data more or less download what you want Ok bit short on mins
I have used 90mb since the 22 feb and i only use my data for checking news and sports and playing a couple of games.
