Ryanair sales - chance of no taxes sale for July?

I need to travel on a specific flight on 31 July. Wondering what kind of track record Ryanair have on doing their tax-free sales on flights in peak season like this. Anyone did something similar last year, perhaps? I'm torn between buying now (not that cheap, at about £85 for one way) and waiting a bit to see if there's a sale, when it would work out considerably cheaper because of no taxes, check-in, etc.
Obviously, though, the price can go up...
Any views?

Is it a flight at good departure time to a popular destination?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

Early morning, only one flight a day to the destination (only covered by Ryanair). Not a seaside destination.0

Anywhere that might bring in (and vice versa) people for the Olympics?
There have been "sales" on July flights before, but if I was you and I had to travel that day I would not chance it, I'd book it now.0 -
Well, would be only four days after the Olympics starts, and in the opposite direction, so I would doubt it.0

Can I take it they don't often do sales on these peak-season flights? I suppose I am really hoping for a "no taxes on all flights" kind of thing - over-optimistic, given that it's peak season?0

Is the same flight currently on sale in the Easter Holidays?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

If the price is acceptable to you then book the flight now and stop looking. If not then hold out for a 'sale' and risk the flight being £400 when you have no choice but to book.
That's the game unfortunately0 -
Yes, available every day, same price, maybe a bit more and occasionally a bit less.
Easter is actually peak season for this destination because of specific events and climate - waaay too hot for anyone sane in summer!0 -
It is one of those things that you have to make your own assessment on the likely demand for the flight and the possible price implications.
Also consider alternative flights from/to nearby airports and also indirect one stop flights as well.
If you want to take checked luggage, this is also a significant cost factor with ryanair.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Yes, sure, I've used Ryanair countless times (unfortunately).
There aren't really any feasible alternatives, at least ones that don't involve a long hot journey. Indirect flight are never going to compete on price (or indeed convenience).0
