It seems RBS do not want me?

I got a letter from RBS telling me my business account was being transfered to santander. No way do I want to have an account with them:eek:
I have phoned the relationship manager several times, phoned business manager at my nearest branch many times. I tried to open a new account on line. I have registered a complaint on line. After months I still cannot open a new business account with RBS.

I shall pen a letter of complaint to RBS head office.

Or maybe I should open an account with a.n.other bank who wants my business?

What is it that you're trying to achieve? You certainly won't be able to have an account at a local RBS branch (I presume you are in England) as there won't be any, apart from a very small number in London. If you're happy to have an account with a Scottish RBS branch that's certainly possible for personal accounts, but possibly is more difficult for a business account. If you want a local branch and to stay with the group then the obvious answer is to open a NatWest account.

That seems very odd. I would have thought that if RBS are closing the branch where your account is held, they would transfer you to their partners in crime - NatWest

RBS business direct accounts are all being transferred to Santander despite living in Scotland as the address for business direct is in England.
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)

Not odd considering RBS sold all their branches and associated accounts in England to Santander.

  • Lots of personal account holders have moved their RBS accounts to Scotland - seems to be working OK so far.

Given your clarification and cbrown's post I suspect the last sentence of your OP is the way forward.

Some people seem to live underground. It's only been happening for a year and a half.
