hi all, someone has won loads of littlt thomas diecast trains off me on ebay. the total they have won amounts to £75. how am i best sendning these items. is it best i get them to pay for international signed for postage which gives me compensation of £500 or should i send the items in 2 seperate packages if i get them to pay in 2 transactions? that way i will be covered up to £46 for ech package which will be plenty and will cost them less in the postage.
not quite sure what to do here, any help is really appreciated

hello again everyone, thanks for al the help. ok the cheapest i can seem to get me parcel delivered for is going to be about £27 with TNT express and then its going to cost £5 on top to cover the items upto £100.
First of all does anyone know if TNT get Proof of delivery incase of a paypal claim etc?
Also I know Soolin has advised to used a courier azs the RM doesnt garauntee tracking but if I was to get the person buying these from me to pay in 2 transactions so therefore I could split the trains into 2 packages. The cost of the trains that would be in each package would be about £38 and therefore even though the RM wont track delivery if the items got lost int he post etc surely i could claim from the RM to get back my £38.
Is that aloud to be done, i mean this person has basically won about 20 diecast trains from me. Each train was a seperate auction they werent in a bundle or anything all were sold as individual trains. so therefore i have about 20 different item numbers.
The reason im asking this is I want to keep the postage costs down for the buyer as much as poss and to send both packages via RM airmail is going to be about £8.70 each and so about £18 in total.
Obviously though I only want to go down that route if I can be sure that if the items did get lost in the post that i would be able to claim my money back form RM. (Ive never had to claim from the RM so I do not know what this entails).
Thanks again everyone for any help in advance:j0 -
Yes you could split and send 2 parcels, my only concern is that you might struggle with an RM claim if neither arrived, but that is probably just me being over cautious.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. oh thanks soolin. ah isee what you mean they may see ive posted 2 parcels to the same person and question it. im a very cautious person aswell and you have got me thinking now.
dont know whether its best to send via a courier and have peace of mind of via RM which is cheaper for my buyer but may cause me a prob if i do have to claim.:j0 -
You wont get signed for postage or courier in Thailand no matter what they say.
Theres probably only a 60% chance of it not being stolen once it gets to their Postal service anyway.

oh so you reckon if if i use tnt express to send it i wont get a proof of delivery?:j0

so if you reckon there is quite a high chance if it not getting to the recipient then i need to make sure whichever service i use is going to pay me if the items go missing.:j0
