Deferring my Orange contract
I have a contract with Orange (iPhopne) until September. I am going abroad for 3 months and would like to defer the contract (I will not need to use the phone as I will be in a rural area in Africa with no signal anyway)
Any idea what Orange's policy is and if I am allowed to defer my contract for 3 months? Or are there any alternatives?
Also, they starting charging me more from 1st Jan 2012 for the same service. Can I argue against it?
Many thanks

You can do a process called a 'temporary disconnection'.
It's for a minimum of one month and a maximum of six, all you do is call and ask to have it activated from a certain date. At that point your contract 'disconnection' is set for six months and you MUST call on your return to reactivate the phone within that six months. If you don't you're billed early termination charges.
When you do call to reconnect, the months you've missed are added onto the end of your current contract. So in your case it means your end date will be December.0 -
you cant cancel it based on the rise in price ofcom have ruled this outWhat goes around-comes around0
