Argh - Just started 24mo contract to get HTC smartphone and it's broken

Gutted - does anyone know if they have to replace it?
It recommended i install a new update, I did and then phone turned off and hasn't been working since. Tried factory reset but it seems completely kaput.
Gutted - only got it three weeks ago. They have to replace , right?

HTC will fix.
They are getting VERY quick at repairs at the moment - my Desire Z was delivered to their repair centre on Monday morning and I got it back again on Tuesday!!!
Yes, I do mean the next day, not the next week!
