If you have their picture and a Facebook account you could put it on your fb and ask if any local friends know who it is

    ^ that's a really good idea.

Could also put a poster up where you found it saying "found - ipod, please call xxxxxxxxxx to collect". You'll know it's them by their picture.

On the other hand it might be faulty, or they have a new one and this one is crap, so they chucked it on the floor.

If the owner is anything like my teens the photo on the iPod could be some guy from a band, their boyfriend/girlfriend, some guy from some awful Disney show etc etc so you wouldn't necessarily identify the owner based on the picture.
  • I'd just hand it into the Police and hopefully someone will contact them to report it lost.

Do you local force have a facebook page - ours does and they often have people posting to say they lost things or people who have found things.

    .

Thanks! I joined a fb group ages ago where someone had found a camera abroad full of photo's, they set up the group detailing where it was found and showing some of the photo's, the owner was found and wrote a lovely post on the group! :-)
