Used car DPF problem

If you get dpf problems in majority of the cases it's simply the fact the owners are the wrong type for these cars . If your driving consists of just short journeys keep well away from theses cars . I can think of better ways to spend my Saturdays than being on a motorway thrashing the dpf so it does not get clogged up .

The DPF was clogged up when I bought it - my own usage should be sufficient to keep it unblocked.

Anyway got the car back over the weekend and it drives so much better - no hesitations and the mpg has shot up too.

My post was not directly at you .

It was more aimed @ the majority of the drivers who encounter this problem due to there driving needs not really suited to these types of cars .
More mpg now good result.

A friend with an 07 Focust 1.6tdci has just had his DPF replace at 110,000 miles at a cost of £1300 by a Ford dealer - ouch.
