ShirleyPark - how do you make easter eggs?
You just pour melted chocolate into easter egg moulds leave to set and then use some melted chocolate to stick the 2 halves together.
This probably explains it a lot better, plus has pictures.

I bought my moulds about 5 years ago for a couple of quid from a cake making / decorating shop. Just have to remember not to put them in the dishwaster as it warps the plastic.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
I would love to have £10 per week to spend on me! But I understand that it could be saved up for unexpected b'day presents etc. I like Shirleypark have seperate budget for holiday already but our March holiday didn't happen because we got £700 repair bill for car. At least we had the savings to pay the bill (another new thing for me!).
I usually make my Easter eggs too but (slapped wrist) have ordered them from a Fair Trade website because I felt guilty after watching Comic relief day. I priced up the Fair Trade chocolate needed and it was cheaper to buy the eggs. Money has come out of grocery budget as I was under budget this month.:business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

you could always pay to charity the muslim way which is you fast during ramadan but for every day you do not keep a fast you pay £2 to the poor hence if you like me do not fast anyway then this costs you a token £60 for the month. you can pay it to a charity or you can even put it in a money box etc. I usually send it to africa through a nominated charity. With children over i think 7 seven it works out at £1 per day.ONLY COPY WHAT I AM DOING IF YOU ARE 100% SURE AND YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE END RESULT MAY BE. Hi savers, i'm trying to follow so many threads i don't know where i've been, but anyway have tried to follow the principles of NSD ( i was too late for the giving up money for lent challenge).
so wanted to be included in some of the other challenges people on this site are setting themselves...they're great and there are some fabulous tips for money saving.
I completed 2 day's none spending, Mon and Tues, but blew £3.53 yesterday on cheapo bottle of wine, today's going well so far.
I'd like to take part in the grocery challenge or Mon-Fri challenge, i've seen mentioned if anyone can advise me of the rules that would be great.
look froward to hearing from some one and keep on saving.

I gather that the idea was to give up all unnecessary spending i.e the bought coffee, magazines etc. Essential spending ie food, bills and travel expenses are allowed. Some have been very successful, a few overtaken by unforseen circumstances, a few overcome by temptation. But its like riding a bike when young- if you fall off get right back on and keep on trying:j
The trick is to not give up...and ask forgiveness from the others:AAre those shopping bags you're carrying really bags of debt???0 -
I like to know what the offspring is up to,I was wondering if people plan to buy.
The offspring may not buy, but she expects :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I'll admit that I dont particularly see Easter Eggs as a necessity. My advice would be, if you want/are expected to give people a gift at Easter, why not make them some hot cross buns?!
I LOVE HOT CROSS BUNS!
Only food spend from me, some mince, carrot and parsnip... Total cost £1.78, and cost of prescription for anti-b'sbeing poorly costs money!
Clarification about the £10.
If you're super organised a la Shirley, you've got little "pots" for pretty much every eventuality, and therefore the £10 is for any item she may want/need that doesnt fall into any of those budget categories.
So you may have a going out budget if you're a very social creature, I'm not, so I dont lol. So therefore if I did ever venture out I would use my £10 on it.
However I think its important to say if people are going to do this, you've got to stick to the principals.
There's no point saying you're in, if you then go convincing yourself that vodka is a food stuff, or that La Senza underwear is necessary. It's not, Primark will do if youre desperate and have no knickers!
All I'm saying is, dont fall into grey areas. If you spend, you spend. Theres no true harm in it and noone is going to get sent to Coventry for it!
